We accomplished so much on our little campout. The boys earned their Wildlife Conservation loops by learning about wildlife, the food chain, and conserving our natural resources. They earned their hiking loops by talking about hiking safety and preparedness and we went on a 30 minute hike. Finally, we visited an observatory where the boys earned their Astronomy loops & pins -- they were taught how telescopes work, they learned about the solar system and they saw Jupiter and Venus through a telescope. It was pretty cool!
We had a great time at campfire, where each group had to prepare and perform a skit for the entire pack. Our little Tiger Cubs did a great job!
I think if you ask the boys, they may tell you that the highlight of the weekend was roasting marshmellows and enjoying their very first s'mores. They were pretty good!
Here are some pictures of some of my favorite moments of the trip:
Snuggled in sleeping bags, ready for bed.
Raising of the flag on Saturday morning.
Tiger Cubs! ROAR!
