Pinewood Derby

This past Saturday was our very first Pinewood Derby. Leading up to the derby, we had a great time helping the boys cut, sand, paint & design their cars. We're all pretty proud of how well they came out. Since this was our first one, it was a learning experience for us, so we're already excited for next year's Pinewood Derby!

On the morning of the race, Nathan had to take the boys to have their cars inspected to make sure they met all of the specs and then their cars were "impounded" until the race at 1pm. After a few tweaks on the weight, the cars were ready to go!

In the end, the boys' cars didn't place but it was a great time. Joshua received a certificate for "Most Artistic" and Jaron received one for "Most Realistic Looking Car" and both boys received a patch for participating.
